Ben Creggan or Binn an Charragáin (peak of the rocky patch) is a steep mountain with many crags, glaciated features and open faults. There are spectacular views of the Doolough valley, Tawnyard, the Atlantic Ocean, Mweelrea and Sheeffry mountains. The summit at 693m is marked with a stone cairn and on fine days there are impressive views of Ben Gorm and the Killary fjord to the south.
